Someone arriving at a hospital needs the car park, then the entrance, then the department, then the ward, then the room, and the system fails at whichever step it stops. We map the routes a real visitor takes, identify every point where they have to make a decision, and make sure a sign is there using the same words they were given on the phone or in the appointment letter.

How We Plan a Wayfinding System
This is the part clients most often skip and most often regret. It is also the cheapest stage to get right, because nothing has been manufactured yet.
