A display has one job, which is to stop someone walking past. Everything else follows from that. For over 8 years Velement has built custom display solutions in Dubai for brands that need the window to work as hard as the store behind it.
We design, fabricate, print and install in-house, which matters more on displays than on almost anything else we make. Display work is unforgiving of tolerances, because the pieces are seen from a metre away under retail lighting, and it is unforgiving of timelines, because a campaign window has a date it must be live. Handling every stage ourselves is how both get controlled.

Permanent and Campaign Displays
Permanent Displays
Built-in display walls, cabinets, plinths, illuminated features and fixed retail fixtures. Permanent work is specified alongside the fit-out and is expected to last, so we build in materials that hold their finish under constant lighting and daily contact, and we detail the fixings so a unit can be serviced without taking the wall apart.
Campaign and Temporary Displays
Seasonal windows, product launches, activations, exhibition stands and pop-up units. Campaign work has a different set of pressures. It has to install fast, often outside trading hours, come down cleanly without leaving marks, and in many cases go back up somewhere else. We design for demounting from the start rather than treating it as an afterthought.
Display Design and Prototyping
A display that looks right on a rendering can fail in a real window. Reflections, sightlines, the height of the plinth against the average shopper, the way retail lighting flattens a finish. We work these out before anything is built.
- Site and window survey: measured dimensions, glass line, sightlines from the walkway and available power.
- Concept and 3D visuals: the display shown in its actual setting rather than on a white background.
- Material and finish selection: matched to the brand, the lighting conditions and how long the display has to last.
- Prototyping: a physical sample or full prototype on larger programmes, so approval happens on the object and not on a screen.
- Lighting design: integrated LED, positioning and colour temperature, tested against the surrounding retail light.
- Installation planning: access, timing, and how the unit gets into the building in the first place.

How We Build Displays
Displays are rarely made from one material, and the joins are where cheap work shows. Our workshop covers the full range in-house, so a unit that combines cut acrylic, a metal frame, a printed panel and integrated lighting is built by one team to one tolerance.

Do you design displays, or only build to our drawings?
Both. Some clients arrive with a finished design from their brand team and need it built accurately. Others arrive with a window, a campaign and a date. We can pick the job up at either point.

Yes. Multi-store rollouts are standard work for us. Units are produced in matched batches, packed by branch and installed to a phased schedule so every store goes live as planned.
Do you install displays outside trading hours?
Yes. Most retail display work happens after closing or before opening, and mall access is arranged in advance with centre management.
Can temporary displays be reused?
Where that is a requirement, we design for it from the start, using demountable construction and packing that survives storage and transport. It is worth saying so at briefing stage, because it changes how the unit is built.
